Treatment
Patients in Bel-Air are provided free bed, free food, free medical attention, nursing care, basic medicines and routine investigations. Medicines are fairly expensive and a large funding is required to meet the regular needs of these patients. Patients are usually charged for the costly antibiotics and
expensive investigations even though most of the patients are really poor and they cannot afford the costs, Bel-Air makes every effort not to deny treatment to any person just because she/he is not able to pay. Most of the patients in Bel-Air are treated for their opportunistic infections. Only 10% of the patients are treated with antiretroviral therapy (ART). |
